Public safety is the foundation of a thriving community, and the Douglas County Attorney plays a central role in building and maintaining that foundation. As I campaign across our lakes area and talk with residents, one thing is clear: people want leadership that is experienced, steady, and focused on real results.
Douglas County is generally a safe place to live, work, and raise a family, but we cannot take that for granted. Issues like drug crimes, protecting children and vulnerable adults, and responding effectively to serious offenses require consistent, skilled prosecution and smart prevention efforts. Law enforcement needs a strong partner in the County Attorney’s Office, someone who charges cases appropriately, prepares thoroughly for court, and communicates clearly.
My background gives me a unique perspective. With broad experience in criminal law, child protection, mediation, and civil matters, I understand both the adversarial side of justice and the value of collaborative solutions. I’ve worked on cases that affect families directly, and I know how important it is to get it right.
As your County Attorney, my commitments include:
Aggressively prosecuting violent crime, repeat offenders, and those who threaten our safety and quality of life.
Supporting victims at every step by making sure they are informed and heard.
Strengthening collaboration with law enforcement to ensure investigations lead to timely, effective outcomes.
Addressing emerging challenges like substance abuse through accountability paired with effective diversion for appropriate low-level cases.
Ensuring the office provides excellent legal counsel to county government, so we protect taxpayers and operate efficiently.
Building a stable, well-resourced team that can deliver justice without unnecessary delays.
I’m running because I believe we can do better. With fresh, experienced leadership dedicated to service over politics, we can maintain the high standards our community expects, while addressing areas that need improvement.
